Muddy Run Solar System Exhibit
Teaming up with Rector Communications, Holt Experiential produced this interpretive solar system exhibit for the Muddy Run Information Center in Holtwood, Pennsylvania for Exelon Corporation. The exhibit is housed in a long hallway tangential to the main visitor center space. The hallway was painted black and track lighting with spots were added to create a sense of being in space while passing the planets in our solar system. The larger planets were produced as routed and cleated dimensional panels with printed vinyl graphics. The smaller planets are MOVA globes – printed spheres that rotate within a clear acrylic shell. Infographics mounted next to each planet convey important facts about each planet. At the head of the hallway, the Sun blazes graphically in yellows, oranges and white.
